Training by Industry, for Industry
The Athabasca Catering Group of Companies offers a Culinary Arts training program focused on developing Indigenous talent for Saskatchewan's hospitality industry. Our state-of-the-art teaching kitchen is located in downtown Saskatoon, on LLRIB's upcoming Urban Reserve.
With two intakes per year and twelve students per cohort, our program is built on practical experience, cultural respect, and a genuine commitment to preparing the next generation of Indigenous culinary professionals.

SATCC Level 1 Cook Trade
Graduating students earn accreditation for Saskatchewan Apprenticeship's Level 1 for the Cook Trade.
North West College Certificate
SATCC-approved curriculum supplied by North West College.
22-Week Career-Focused Training
Two weeks of Workplace Essential Skills, one week of safety certifications and 19 weeks of Line Cook training.
Industry Safety Certifications
Food Safety, Fire Safety, WHMIS, First Aid/CPR, Respectful Workplace, Allergen Awareness, and Gluten Awareness.
Red Seal Instruction
Hands-on training under an experienced Red Seal Instructor and Program Lead in a real commercial kitchen.
Downtown Saskatoon Campus
State-of-the-art teaching kitchen on LLRIB's upcoming Urban Reserve in downtown Saskatoon.
19 Weeks of Line Cook Training
Following Essential Skills and safety certification weeks, students complete 19 weeks of intensive Line Cook training under an experienced Red Seal Instructor and Program Lead β covering ten core culinary disciplines.

Employment Coaching & Career Placement
Throughout the program, students' career-search tools and skills will be developed, leading to the best possible outcomes on graduation. Moving towards completion, graduates will be encouraged and supported in their career-search to facilitate a quick and smooth transition from school to work in Industry full-serve Kitchens.
